Great news, it is only 12 days from the first day of fall. The sad thing is the mercury in the old thermometer is still spiking triple digits and not even a tease to cooler or less humid weather. The pumpkins are out and every kind of pumpkin spice drink and food has already been stocked and placed on menus. However, as Jackson Countians and Floridians, we know that the long-awaited cooler weather is still a little further in the future. With the anticipated cooler weather, I wanted to remind everyone of our medical freedoms granted by the strongest legislation in our great nation.
During the week of August 25 through August 31, there were 23.960 cases of COVID-19 reported in Florida and 113 reported cases in Jackson County. As we all know COVID-19 is here to stay, just like the common cold and flu which continues to spread and mutate each year. As citizens, we enjoy these legislative medical freedoms as well as the medical profession. In addition to those protections, additional legislation has been enacted to “forbid dangerous research that artificial mutates viruses (like the Wuhan Lab)” in Florida.
Let’s review the medical liberations that have been passed here in our freedom state of Florida to safeguard you. “Prohibits globalized public health institutions from directing policy in Florida. “Allows patients to choose COVID-19 treatment alternatives without a hospital interfering or pressuring an individual.” “Provides permanent protection against forced COVID-19 testing, masking and vaccinations. Also protects against any mandate regarding MRNA vaccines and vaccines authorized for emergency use.” “Requires health care practitioners to receive consent from their patient before prescribing any medication of treatment of COVID-19.” “Bans discrimination in providing medical care or procedures due to the COVID-19 vaccination status.” “Safeguards the free speech of doctors.” “Allows doctors to collaborate with patients to prescribe alternative treatments and protects medical professions who choose not to use a certain treatment based on their moral, ethical, or religious convictions.” “Provides a path for doctors to protect their license from medical or accreditation boards that are attempting to punish them for speaking out against the medical establishment. The medical liberation also includes a request for a statewide grand jury to investigate crimes and misdeeds committed against Floridians related to the COVID-19 vaccine.
State Surgeon General Dr. Joseph Ladapo said, “There are forces in our world that constantly use fear and distortion to try and convince us to abandon our freedom and civil liberties. Freedom is the Florida way, and each one of us can carry the mantle and preserve it for all people”. In 1961, Ronald Reagan also said; “One of the traditional methods of imposing statism or socialism on a people has been by way of medicine. It’s very easy to disguise a medical program as a humanitarian project.” Just remember those words when the cold, flu and COVID-19 season returns to another full-blown crisis.
